Directed by Jennifer Baichwal
1h 30min

Internationally recognized artist Edward Burtynsky travels through China, capturing evidence and the effects of the country’s massive industrial revolution. The world’s largest dam, sprawling factories, and the overwhelming urban renewal of Shanghai are some of the subjects captured through his lens in this documentary, which presents Burtynsky’s photographs as a narrative to reflect on our impact on the planet. Throughout the process, he seeks to raise awareness about the world and the way we live in it.
